Set walls are made and assembled so they can be &ldquot;wilded&rdquot; (moved) out of position for crew access or for camera. Sets are designed and built with this in mind and the wild sectionsare marked on the plans. When assembling the sets this must always be kept in mind and any wild sections must have the walers cut and cleated for easy removal. Layout There will be multiple reasons for where a set is put in a studio. Find the beginning or centre point on the plans. Then find the corresponding point on the studio floor. Work the layout from there. First lay a datum line to establish the set starting point. This is often along a wall, expansion line or series of pieces. Follow standard construction practices for establishing square, level and plumb.
